That led Tom into a robust career in the advertising business with stints at major global agencies (JWT, DDB, RPA, FCB, Carat) on Blue Chip accounts (Oracle, GIA, MGM, 20th Century Fox, Universal, Atari, Ford, Mazda, Hyundai/Kia, Honda, etc.) as Managing Director, Research Director, Brand Marketing Director, and Media Director.
Familiar to an array of budgeting models, he successfully promotes campaigns with multi-million-dollar spending, no cash plans with pure barter, and even pro bono.
Prior to advertising, Tom worked at UCLA Neuropsychiatric as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician in research for childhood Autism and Schizophrenia. His work on behavior was published in medical Journals.
Tom studied piano and composition at the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music and the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria. Now, he serves with the board of the Los Angeles Master Chorale at Walt Disney Concert Hall and works closely with the LA Philharmonic, Hollywood Bowl, LA Opera, and Music Center Operating Company.
Just for kicks, he explored Hollywood too—as CMO and Partner at Radioactive Giant serving as Executive Producer on feature films starring Richard Dreyfuss and Danny Glover.
